Clearwater Campground is located in Marion, NC. We're located off Hwy
226A onto Armstrong Creek Road. We offer beautiful, peaceful, secluded, and spacious campsites. Our park is nestled in the valley adjacent to Pisgah.
Clearwater is family owned. Since 2005, the owners have spent countless hours developing this beautiful park for friends, families, and happy campers alike to enjoy.
We designed our RV park to blend in with nature. We preserved the nature stone on the land to design the fire pits,
flower beds, and stepping stones throughout the campground.
Happy Campers can relax and enjoy the great outdoors. We offer trout fishing and tubing. Adults and children alike enjoy the cool mountain water. It's pure tranquility. At night, adults and children enjoy relaxing by an open campfire, story telling, and roasting snacks.
All kinds of natural moss covers the trails and rocks. Several kinds of ferns and plants can be found along the creek banks. We built several decks for our guest to admire the scenic
A small waterfall can be viewed behind site 2. It's a wonderful place to read a book and escape from it all.
The Blue Ridge Parkway is just a short drive away. There are several beautiful areas to pull over and take a family photo. Highway 226A is a scenic route that leads to Little Switzerland.
Clearwater is just minutes away from hiking, mountain biking, shopping, and dining. We are close proximity to Blue Ridge Parkway and other nearby attractions.

All kinds of wildlife roam through these mountains. Several native plants can be seen such as rhododendrons, mountain laurels, and ferns.
Visitors are welcome! Guest must sign in at the office while visiting. Parking is located across from site 5.
Local Dump Station
Pass by TJ's on 221 until you see Coats North America sign on the left. The station is located on American Thread Road.
Clearwater has a semi-level path along side the creek banks. We also have a couple nice size water holes. Adults and children alike enjoy trout fishing. We allow
golf carts to be driven through the campground.
Armstrong Creek Fish Hatchery
Turn left at the mailboxes continue to follow gravel road then cross over a small bridge. A hiking trail is located at the end of Armstrong Creek Road.
Lake James is a beautiful place to enjoy fishing, boating, and other water sports. It covers 6,510 acres, with over 150 miles of shore-line. Lake James has breath taking views all year round. A boat access ramp is approximately 35 minutes away from us. Black Bear access ramp is adjacent to Bear Creek Marina.
Marion has several trails. The Joseph McDowell Historical Catawba Greenway is officially open. It's located off U.S. 70 west. As you pass by Lowe's turn right onto Sam Phillips Drive. The walking trail is paved and adjacent to the creek. Several benches are located along the path.
We are a short drive away from Little Switzerland, Spruce Pine, Old Fort, Bakersville, Burnsville. There are several attractions located in Asheville, Blowing Rock, and Boone. It's a beautiful drive during the fall.
